Founder and Director of TALKART AGENCY, Margaux Plessy first studied History and International Politics in London (King’s College) and Paris (Sciences Po). Two defining experiences shaped her path: encountering Lucio Fontana’s work in an empty Centre Pompidou, and spending time in a wounded Palestine. Art and politics, politics and art: the bond was sealed.
After training at the École du Louvre and being admitted to both the Courtauld Institute and the University of Oxford, Margaux Plessy remained above all devoted to artists themselves. In 2019, she worked alongside ORLAN. Two years later, she acted as curator and production director of the 20th edition of Parcours Saint-Germain, defying the pandemic by inviting more than fifty artists to take over the streets, which led her to join JR’s teams, between Paris and New York. She later continued collaborating with him as production director for Chronicles of Naples (2025) and the exhibition Adventice in Montpellier (2025).
In 2023, she worked with Lee Shulman, founder of The Anonymous Project, on his exhibition at the FIAF in New York. Margaux continues to champion the emerging art scene through her curatorial practice. At Château La Coste, she curated five exhibitions that weave together art and literature: Je est un autre (2023), La Folle Allure (2024), and Une Chambre à Soi (2024), a five-month exhibition that drew more than 25,000 visitors, and for which she directed and oversaw the production of the exhibition catalogue. Very recently, Margaux opened Laisser la vie se produire and Ma Part d’eux (2026), to display the respective works of late photographer Frank Horvat, and three young painters Dewhadi Hadjab, Romain Bagouët and Romain Adami.
Committed to raising awareness around the causes she deeply cares for, she also collaborates with the Art for Action Foundation in Venice, where she curated two exhibitions shedding light on the invisible traces of migration: Dreams in Transit and The Silence of the Sea (Venice, 2025).
From New York to London, through Naples, Venice and the South of France, Margaux Plessy weaves the threads of a rich creative landscape. Her deep understanding of the global emerging scene brings her to collaborate with various major actors of the art fields. Today, her life unfolds across three fields within TALKART AGENCY : curatorial strategy, production direction, and acquisition advisory ; a life devoted to artists and those who believe in them.
