Consulting agency in contemporary art

TALKART in a few words

Based on a transversal and holistic approach to the contemporary art field, TALKART agency combines three areas of activity, offering in each case full support : from strategy consulting to the effective implementation of the developed projects. Designed to specifically meet the needs of the art world players and to support them (artists, institutions, collectors, etc.), TALKART agency therefore brings together three areas of expertise: curatorial strategy consulting, project development, and acquisition consulting.

TALKART can help you in many areas

Curatorial strategy consulting

Finding and showcasing new talents, designing, scripting and staging exhibitions, with a particular focus on bringing artists, cultures, and historical eras into dialogue.

Artistic project developments consulting

Establishing the development (and/or production, if applicable) strategy for an artistic project involving event, logistical, commercial and creative issues.

Acquisition consulting

Guiding, informing, and even training collectors - amateur or more experienced - in their acquisition strategy, particularly concerning the works of young emerging French and international artists.

Margaux Plessy, founder

Founder and director of TALKART agency, Margaux Plessy first studied history and international politics in London (King's College) and Paris (Sciences-Po). Then, two founding events: her encounter with the work of Lucio Fontana in a deserted Beaubourg and a stay in a suffering Palestine. Art and politics, politics and art: the connection was made. Margaux Plessy was trained at the Ecole du Louvre and was admitted at the Courtauld Institute and Oxford University. In 2019, she worked with ORLAN and covered the Venice Biennale as an accredited journalist. Two years later, she was in charge of the 20 th edition of the Parcours Saint-Germain and braved the pandemic by inviting more than fifty artists to take over the streets. Thanks to this, she joined JR's teams, who put her in charge of special projects, starting with the Web3 strategy; not to mention her current collaboration with Lee Shulman, founder of The Anonymous Project, and the missions she carries out for Château La Coste. All this without ever losing sight of her first passion: finding young artists, both French and international, and opening doors to new collections for them. A whole life now divided into three professions within TALKART agency: curatorial strategy, project developments consultancy and acquisition advisory (consultancy?); a whole life at the service of artists and those who love them.
